Sheet Metal Fabrication

Complete sheet metal manufacturing — cutting, bending, welding, and surface finishing — from raw sheet to ready-to-install component.

What We Do

Sheet Metal Fabrication at FabXE

Sheet metal fabrication at FabXE covers the complete manufacturing process: laser cutting, CNC press brake bending, forming, welding, assembly and surface finishing. We work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium across a wide range of gauges.

Our in-house combination of laser cutting, bending and welding eliminates inter-supplier lead times. Once your blanks are cut, they proceed directly to the press brake and then to our welding team — all in the same facility, tracked as a single job.

Our Fabrication Process

1

Drawing Review

DXF/STEP files reviewed for DFM — minimum bend radius, hole spacing, material selection. Issues flagged before production.

2

Material Selection & Preparation

Correct grade and gauge selected from stock. Sheets are cleaned and checked before processing.

3

Laser Cutting

Blanks cut to DXF profile. Parts are tagged and tracked through the job.

4

CNC Press Brake Bending

Parts bent per drawing sequence using CNC-programmed press brake. First-article inspection before batch runs.

5

Welding & Assembly

TIG, MIG or ARC welding as required. Assemblies fixtured for dimensional accuracy.

6

Surface Finishing

Sand blasting, powder coating, spray painting or passivation — all in-house, no external handoffs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard fabrication tolerances follow ISO 2768 medium (±0.3 mm for features up to 30 mm). Laser cutting achieves ±0.1 mm positional accuracy. Tighter tolerances can be specified on your drawing and we will confirm feasibility at quoting stage.
Yes. We regularly produce single prototypes and small batches using the same machines and quality standards as production runs. Prototype work often leads to production, and our DFM review helps catch issues early.
We offer powder coating (16 ft x 12 ft oven), sand blasting (16 ft x 16 ft room), spray painting (2K polyurethane, epoxy) and stainless passivation — all in-house. Specify your finish requirement on the drawing or in the RFQ.
