Laser Cutting

High-precision fiber laser cutting for complex profiles, intricate features and clean edges — on steel, stainless, aluminium and more.

What We Do

Precision Laser Cutting at FabXE

Our laser cutting facility uses fiber laser technology to achieve tight-tolerance cuts on a wide range of metals. Whether you need a single prototype profile or high-volume production blanks, we maintain consistent edge quality and dimensional accuracy throughout.

We accept DXF, DWG and STEP files directly. Our team reviews every drawing for cut-path optimisation before running the job, which reduces material waste and improves edge quality.

Our Laser Cutting Process

1

Drawing Review & DFM Check

We review your DXF/STEP file for cut-path optimisation, minimum feature sizes, and potential issues before quoting.

2

Material Preparation

Raw sheet stock is selected, inspected and loaded onto the laser bed. Material traceability records are maintained.

3

Laser Cutting

Parts are cut to your DXF file with our fiber laser. Parameters are set per material type and thickness for optimal edge quality.

4

Deburring & Inspection

Cut parts are deburred, cleaned and dimensionally inspected against your drawing before any downstream operations.

5

Downstream Processing (Optional)

Parts proceed directly to bending, welding, machining or surface finishing — all in-house, no external handoffs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We accept DXF, DWG, STEP (.stp/.step) and PDF files. DXF is preferred for 2D profiles. For 3D parts that need unfolding, send STEP files and our team will process them. If your files have issues, we'll contact you before proceeding.
As a general rule, the minimum hole diameter should be at least equal to the material thickness, and the minimum slot width should be at least 1.2× the material thickness. Smaller features are possible on thinner gauge materials — contact us with your specific requirements.
Laser cutting is performed on raw material before any surface treatment. If you need cut-outs or modifications in finished parts, contact us to discuss options — some modifications can be done mechanically after coating.
Standard turnaround depends on quantity, complexity and current production load. Simple 2D profiles on standard materials are typically [ADD STANDARD LEAD TIME]. Rush service is available — ask when requesting your quote.
